Implementing and Supporting Windows95 70-64
This exam has changed since I went on the course for 70-63 (course
798c) . I sat 70-63, missed out by a few percent and was somewhat
suprised when I found out it had changed to 70-64. There a quite
a few differences.
The exam has 49 questions to be taken in 100 mins. The pass rate
was 632.
The section analysis is:
1. Planning
2.Installation and Config.
3. Configuring and Managing Resource Access.
4. Integration and Interoperability
5.Monitoring and Optimization.
6.Troubleshooting.
Where as before I had loads of questions on Architecture, Plug and
Play, User interface, some MS Exchange etc., the new exam deals
mainly with networks, polices and the Internet.
Of my 49 questions at least 30 about NT - logging on to domains,
printing and more Netware - Win95 on Netware networks, printing
Dial Up Networking - settings etc
TCP/IP - This stumped me. questions on Gateways, configuring IP
and Subnets, use of NetBios, accessing the Internet through NT servers,
and TCP/IP as a network protocol.
Lots of diagrams showing clients IP address, NT PDC servers, addresses
,routers etc asking you to choose the correct IP/gateway for a given
client.
Also User profiles - manadtory profiles (store in NETLOGON dir?),
roaming profiles, user policies and how they operate on Netware
and NT networks.
Printing - PCL printers, how to enable banners, capturing ports.
Planning and Installation - Installing with policies, installing
from NT servers, planning the best way to install.
One other question I remember - There are frequent power cuts,
what do you enable to ensure most recent backups / least work lost
(Disable write-behind caching )
- 1 plug and play question
- couple of troubleshooting questions
- a few questions on monitoring network/Win95
Remember your exam could be different so revise as much as possible.
I used my coursebook form the Microsoft 798c course, braindumps
and have lots of hands on experience
Good luck in your own exams
